PILOT SUPPORT PROGRAMME

All AOC holders will be required to comply with the impending EASA and CAA Requirements  relating to Aircrew medical fitness (specifically pilot mental wellbeing in the wake of the Germanwings tragedy). Among several features, one of the main requirements is that pilot employers must provide their pilots with access to a support programme.

Yorvik Aviation have partnered with the Centre for Aviation Psychology (CAP)  to select and train a pool of Rotary Peer Support Volunteers. We have drawn from an array of disciplines and organisations to ensure we can maintain anonymity between operators and believe that this service not only complies with forthcoming legislation but that it offers ‘Best Practice’. The service is aimed at pilots but can also cater for all members of staff employed in the operation of rotorcraft where performance is critical to flight safety.

Additional information can be found on the BizAv PSP website for more details, and if you have any queries you can approach either Yorvik Aviation or CAP.

Furthermore, we are very pleased to announce that all members of The British Helicopter Association can receive a 10% discount on the monthly subscription to the PSP, simply by mentioning your BHA membership when getting in touch.
